The story of Tirisfal Glades.
Tirisfal Glades are a grey, misty land of dead trees and abandoned farms in the north of the old Kingdom of Lordaeron, and the home of the Forsaken. Lordaeron was once the greatest human kingdom of all. Then the plague of undeath swept through it, Prince Arthas murdered his own father in the throne room of the capital, and the Scourge turned the kingdom into a graveyard.
From that graveyard came the Forsaken. Sylvanas Windrunner, the fallen ranger-general of Quel'Thalas, broke free of the Lich King's will, and others like her followed. They took the ruined capital for their own, made their home in the vast crypts beneath it, the Undercity, and claimed Tirisfal as their land. They have joined the Horde, though few of their allies fully trust them.
The glades are far from safe. Mindless undead still shamble around Deathknell, where the newly risen Forsaken wake, and the Scourge holds Agamand Mills and its family crypt. The Scarlet Crusade, fanatics sworn to destroy every undead thing, has made the Scarlet Monastery in the north-east its sanctuary and keeps watch posts across the glades. In the east, at the Bulwark, Forsaken and Argent Dawn soldiers hold the line against the Scourge of the Plaguelands beyond. In the middle of it all, the town of Brill offers the dead a place to rest.
