The story of Un'Goro Crater.
Un'Goro Crater is a steaming jungle sunk deep in a vast crater between Tanaris and Silithus, cut off from the world by its cliff walls. Inside, time seems to have stood still: dinosaurs roam the undergrowth, from grazing beasts to the huge, savage devilsaurs, along with giant gorillas and swarms of strange insects.
It is no accident. The crater was one of the titans' gardens, a place where Freya, keeper of life, experimented with the living things of Azeroth, and the strange crystal pylons that stand around it are part of the machinery the titans left behind. Coloured power crystals scattered through the jungle still answer to them, though no one yet fully understands how.
A small expedition has made camp at Marshal's Refuge, on the crater's northern rim, where researchers such as the gnome J.D. Collie study the pylons and crystals and try to survive the wildlife. They are not alone in the crater: fire elementals pour from the volcano at Fire Plume Ridge in its centre, and in the south, silithid from Silithus have dug into the Slithering Scar.
