What the quest giver says.

‹name›, ‹class› and ‹race› stand for your character’s.

This ritual will bestow upon you our gift. We will stir the anima within your soul, awakening a power that has only been known to Harvesters. It has never been performed on a mortal before, but I have been assured that it won't hurt a bit.
