WoW: Forever system

Legacy

Legacy is WoW: Forever’s account-wide progression: you earn Legacy Points from first-time milestones on any of your characters (classes, tradeskills, adventure, dungeons, raids and player vs. player) and spend them on perks in 3 trees: Professions, Adventure and Resourcefulness. This feature becomes available when your first character reaches level 25.

How it works

Earn once, spend across trees.

What the client says about Legacy Points, perks and their limits.

66 ways to earn, 81 points

Each is an achievement earned once for your whole account, so reaching level 25 on your first Warrior counts, and a second Warrior doesn’t.

69 perk ranks in 3 trees

Each rank costs 1 point. The trees also hold 6 perks the client marks “To be added in a future update.”

Deeper perks open at 5 and 10 points

Points spent in that tree; some perks also need another perk maxed first. Each perk below says what it needs.

A seasonal cap

It limits the points you can spend in total (“You can spend up to your current seasonal cap”). The cap’s value isn’t in the client data.

Resetting perks costs gold

A loading-screen tip: “Spend your class and legacy talent points carefully as once your talents are chosen, you must spend gold to unlearn them.” The game also counts your recent resets, up to 10, changing by 1 every 0.042 days. How the count affects the price isn’t in the client data.

A Progress Track with 90 ranks

It sits next to the trees in the Legacy window. Its rewards aren’t in the client data yet.
